Hitech Technologies was established in March 2017 with a twofold objective. On the one hand, to provide support for the racing activities for Hitech GP and on the other hand, to offer technical services to external clients. The business is headed up by Mark Smith, who has over 25 years of experience in Design and Technical Management within Formula One and motorsport – Mark spent 15 of these years as Chief Designer/Technical Director in Formula One.

We can offer design services for both rig and car components. Catia V5 is used as the main design tool and we have an in-house laser scanner allowing reverse engineering of both mechanical and bodywork / chassis components. Working closely with a network of key suppliers, we can provide a full design and manufacture supply service to meet your development requirements. Design of adaptors for existing rigs or full bespoke rig design and manufacture can be undertaken.

DESIGN Our consultancy service can develop your vision and deliver the finished prototype or component.

MANUFACTURE We have a close relationship with a network of suppliers with state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities.

QUALITY Our team are highly experienced to design and manufacture to the highest levels.

Design projects undertaken to date include:

Cooling installation including radiators, pipes and ductwork

Bodywork including engine cover, cooling exits and nose vanity panel

Suspension components including 3^rd elements, wishbone and pushrod mounting brackets and anti-roll bars

Re-engineered engine mounting system for a revised V8 installation

Cooling fans including housings

Numerous sensor installations including laser ride height, damper potentiometers, thermal sensors etc
